Dragon Boats coming to Dexter Lake

Dragon BoatThe Heroes to Oregon Dragon Boat Paddle Challenge (H2O) is excited to be coming to Dexter Lake this summer! Join us on July 19, 2014 for the first annual Dragon Boat Paddle Challenge and be a hero to local wounded veterans. This is an exhibition event and the first of its kind in Lane County. All you need is a team of 10-18 friends/coworkers/family members (14 years or older) and about 25 dollars per person. We’ll provide the boats, life jackets, a steerperson and a caller, and some paddling orientation. No dragon boat experience is needed, just come ready to paddle and have fun!

The H2O Paddle Challenge is a great opportunity for team-building while fundraising for a great cause. Proceeds will benefit local injured veterans, helping them to regain an active lifestyle by sending them to the National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic.

    Hi Lisa,

Is there a way for me to post this on my Facebook page? I’ve already sent it to a whole slew of people:). Thanks for all of your outstanding communication. I really appreciate it.

  2. Hi Lisa,

I just saw about the Dragon Boat races on the TV news. I am going to put a link to the races on the City of Lowell web site under the visitor’s page. If that is ok with you? Then I thought as the event gets closer we can post it on the news page of the web site so it shows up on the front page also. It looks like a fun race for families to watch and participate in.

    Thanks,

    Melody
